Complicated != Good

simplicity in the age of AI

In the age of obfuscation, when software runs on software that runs on software, and we are told that you need to terraform + SNS + SQS + Lambda + Lake House table to do a thing … I wonder if a person can ever return to simplicity without being labeled an old curmudgeon or worse.

Seems highly unlikely.

I see complexity raising its ugly and unwieldy head in two major places on data platforms.
