Recently the indelible Mathews Powers made a comment, on my comment, that got me thinking.

I am thinking about interfaces, complexity, and the idea of hiding the pea 🫛 under some rug. The age-old complexity problem. Can complexity be done away with, or just hidden, or a little bit of both?
